Description

The RESTEK MINT is a hi-fi integrated amplifier with analog signal preprocessing, a digital Class D output stage as the power core and an analog feedback with four inputs and a volume control that can be switched on and off.

Many Class D amplifiers are designed for a specific load resistance of e.g. B. 4 ohms or 6 ohms optimized. If the load resistance deviates - and this is always different in terms of frequency in the case of loudspeakers - then frequency response differences of up to 6 dB result in particular at higher frequencies. Not so with the RESTEK MINT: Thanks to a sophisticated circuitry for analog feedback after the filter, the MINT integrated amplifier has a load-independent frequency response. No matter whether 2 Ohm, 8 Ohm or even 16 Ohm, the frequency response has a maximum deviation of 0.5 dB from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. That is why the RESTEK MINT lacks the analytical acuity that is often found. Rather, it always sounds analog, warm and full, without missing anything in terms of accuracy. The circuit concept with analog preprocessing, digital Class D amplifier core and analog feedback allows for the first time to bring an integrated amplifier onto the market that sounds "analog".

Distortion factor and signal-to-noise ratio set new standards, also for "analog" power amplifiers. The very low output resistance of only 4 mOhm also allows the speakers to be “tightly guided”. All parts of the MINT electronics are DC-coupled, making it possible to transmit even the lowest frequencies. This means that even in the lower frequency spectrum, transmission is distortion-free and phase-locked.

There are no capacitors or electrolytic capacitors in the signal path that could cause corruption. Noise and crosstalk are only perceptible at the measurement limit.

Using the volume control, which can be switched on and off, the signal can be attenuated down to -99 dB in 1 dB steps.

The claim to ease of use and great functionality is realized through the ability to operate all special functions using the remote control or a single button. With the rotary and push button on the front of the integrated amplifier, the volume can be changed by turning left and right. By pressing once or several times you can reach various menu items in which you can trigger certain functions or "program" settings. After reaching a menu item, the individual settings can be selected by turning the knob left or right and the desired setting must be confirmed by pressing it again, as with a computer by pressing the ENTER key. The menu system then jumps back to the starting position. So z. B. the balance can be selected by pressing the button several times, changed by turning and confirmed and saved by pressing it again.

With this simple control using just a rotary pushbutton, the integrated amplifier RESTEK MINT has the same puristic design as all other hi-fi devices in the M series. It is timelessly modern and will not only offer the listener high-quality listening pleasure for many years, but also a modern, attractive sight.
