Description
The MDAC + is a digital preamplifier and D / A converter with one
Numerous inputs and outputs and a volume control that can be switched on and off. For the first time, this digital-to-analog converter makes it possible to compare a digital volume control directly with an analog volume control.
Through the use of modern components optimized for hi-fi applications, it is now possible for us to drive the playback quality of the MDAC + "to the extreme", with a fine resolution and digital detail, combined with a pleasant analog sound.
The MDAC + digital preamplifier and converter is the product of our efforts to provide you with a device that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of sound and comfort.
Digital accuracy meets analog sound
High-quality switches, two sample rate converters and a modern 24-bit 192 kS multibit digital-to-analog converter allow the listener to choose from a variety of bit resolutions and converter rates. In this way, the musical reproduction can be tailored to individual listening habits with a high sound resolution.
In particular, the digital filter of the D / A converter, which works without pre-ringing, makes the MDAC + sound very "analog".
A potentially separated USB interface also enables pieces that are stored on a PC to be reproduced in high quality.
Using the volume control, which can be switched on and off, the signal can be attenuated down to –99 dB in 1 dB steps. The drivers of the analog cinch outputs establish the connection to a preamplifier, the power amplifiers or active loudspeakers. The low output resistance of 50 ohms and the maximum current of up to 35 mA rms of these driver stages enable correct line adaptation on the one hand and on the other hand the use of sometimes unavoidably long cables without the music signal being impaired by the cables.
All parts of the electronics of the MDAC + are DC-coupled to ensure that even the lowest frequencies are transmitted correctly. There are no capacitors or capacitors in the signal path that could distort the music. Noise and crosstalk are only perceptible at the measurement limit.
The eye listens: timeless design, no-frills ergonomics
As with all source devices in the RESTEK M series, the MDAC + D / A converter has been designed to be easy to use and offer a wide range of functions by operating all special functions using the remote control or a single button. The design of the digital preamplifier and digital-to-analog converter remains puristically clear.
