Description
Audiolab D7
Compact, elegant, and sonically powerful: The Audiolab D7 is a modern digital-to-analog converter that brings the DNA of the legendary M-DAC into a new format. With high-quality technology, extensive connectivity options, and full MQA decoding, it offers everything demanding digital sources need – and all in typical Audiolab quality.
Digital excellence in a compact format
The D7 is based on the advanced ESS9038Q2M DAC chip and delivers PCM up to 768 kHz / 32-bit and DSD up to DSD512 via USB. Thanks to sophisticated jitter suppression and precise clocking, it delivers exceptional clarity, dynamics, and natural reproduction. The D7 processes PCM up to 192 kHz via optical and coaxial inputs, and USB storage devices are supported up to 96 kHz.
Diverse connections for all digital pathways
Whether CD transport, streamer, or computer – the D7 offers the right inputs: 2 × coaxial, 2 × optical, 1 × USB-B (for PC/Mac), 1 × USB-A (for storage media), and Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX and aptX HD. Outputs are available in RCA, XLR (balanced), coaxial, and optical. Two 12V triggers are also included – ideal for integration into complex setups.
Full MQA Decoder
The D7 fully decodes MQA – including all three expansion stages – directly in the device. This makes it ideally suited for Tidal Masters and other MQA formats, ensuring that the full sonic potential of high-quality recordings is realized
Filters, upsampling and individual tuning
Five adjustable digital filters and optional upsampling to 352.8 or 384 kHz allow for precise fine-tuning of the sound. This makes it possible to optimally adjust the D7 to the source, the music, or the rest of the system – entirely according to listening preferences.
HiFi for headphone enthusiasts
A high-quality headphone output with current feedback amplifier circuitry makes the D7 a fully-fledged headphone component. Whether high-impedance or low-impedance – the D7 drives any type of headphone with authority and fine detail reproduction
Technical masterpiece – elegantly packaged
The solid aluminum housing, the brilliant OLED display, and the intuitive operation via button or remote control complete the overall package. Visually perfectly matched to the Audiolab 6000 and 7000 series, the D7 integrates seamlessly into existing systems – with style and substance.
