Description

The phono pre-amplifier amplifies the smallest voltages emitted by the phono cartridge and also linearizes the pre-equalized signals on the record.

Internally, the MINIRIA consists of two separate identical mono pre-amplifiers, each with two amplification stages and a passive and active RIAA equalization.

The input sensitivity of the amplifier stages can be adjusted in a range from +32 dB to +64 dB to compensate for the volume differences of the different pickup systems.

The output drivers of the phono preamplifier make the connections to the preamplifier. The low output resistance of 50 ohms and the maximum current of up to 35 mA rms of these driver stages enable correct line adaptation on the one hand and the use of sometimes unavoidably long connecting cables between the phono preamplifier and the preamplifier without the music signal being impaired by the cables.

All parts of the MINIRIA's electronics are DC-coupled, making it possible to transmit even the lowest frequencies. This means that even in the lower frequency spectrum, transmission is distortion-free and phase-locked. Noise and crosstalk are only perceptible at the measuring limit.
