Advance Paris A-i190 NOVA Integrated Amplifier

Advance Paris A-i190 NOVA, High-End Stereo Hybrid Integrated Amplifier with Phono-Stage MM/MC and ESS9017S Digital-to-Analog Converter.

Description

A-i190 NOVA
Two mono amplifiers. A single chassis. The NOVA A-I190 takes the hybrid philosophy to its ultimate expression: dual toroidal power supplies, 2 x 190W RMS, exceptional soundstage. For those for whom nothing is too much. With 2 x 190 W into 8 Ω and 2 x 297 W into 4 Ω, the NOVA A-I190 knows no such word as “effort.” The most demanding speakers, largest rooms, most complex passages — everything is handled with the same serene ease. The ECC81 hybrid tube architecture preserves the organic warmth and harmonic richness that characterize the NOVA range. But here, it's amplified by an absolutely solid electrical foundation: two transformers that share nothing, compromise nothing. Add the balanced XLR output to connect your professional equipment, the MC/MM phono for your most precious vinyl, and you have an amplifier that is second to none compared to separates costing ten times its price.

Like two mono amplifiers in a single chassis

The fundamental difference between the A-I130 and the A-I190 can be summed up in two words: dual power. Two independent toroidal transformers, each 280 VA, each dedicated to a channel. No interaction. No sharing. No compromises.

The result is immediately perceptible: a wider soundstage, clearer channel separation, dynamics that seem to know no limits. The A-I190 drives any loudspeaker with disarming ease - whether easy or demanding.

4-channel DSP ADAU1452

Your room influences the sound: dimensions, materials, geometry. The NOVA's 4-channel DSP adjusts each speaker — main speakers and subwoofers — according to its position.

The result: controlled bass, a stable soundstage, and speakers that take a back seat to the music. Studio precision, accessible from your amplifier.

Your music stays the same. Your space, however, reveals it.

DAC ESS9017S Quad Mode

Your audio file has a history: recording, mastering, various formats. NOVA preserves it.

Its ESS9017S DAC, in Quad mode, merges 8 channels into 4 analog paths of rare purity—reduced noise, expanded dynamic range, and restored micro-details. It handles all formats (PCM 24/192, DSD, HDMI eARC) without alteration. Listening: sound as the artist intended. No compromises.

ECC81 tube preamplification

Tubes persist because their unique warmth and presence still captivate discerning audiophiles. A matter of physics, not nostalgia.

The ECC81 tube in the NOVA, the first link in the signal chain, shapes the sound. Where a transistor reproduces coldly, the tube adds even harmonics—imperceptible to measurement, but audible. They enrich vocals, strings, and brass.

Result: a deep soundstage, spatially separated instruments, and captivating presence. The NOVA doesn't choose between analog and digital. It merges them.

Integrated HDMI eARC

Modern television broadcasts high-end audio content (Dolby Atmos, high-resolution PCM), but few hi-fi systems take advantage of it.

The NOVA's HDMI eARC solves this: a single connection transmits the native signal, intact, processed by the DSP and the ESS9017S DAC. Without compromise.

Its strength? Seamless integration: your TV remote controls everything, without any change in habits. Audiophile performance. Intuitive use.

ALPS Potentiometer

Invisible details transform a device into an object of attachment.

The ALPS potentiometer on the NOVA, the first point of contact with every listen, offers linear and precise attenuation — without imbalance, without jumps. A technical rigor that inspires confidence.

Its touch, soft and controlled, invites precision. A discreet pleasure, but one that leaves a mark once experienced. The NOVA reveals itself the moment your hand touches it.

Scalable architecture

Devices become obsolete as the world evolves: new formats, new habits. The usual response? Replace them.

The NOVA focuses on scalability: two dedicated slots. One for the A-NTC cartridge, which adds streaming when you want it. The other for the A-BTC dongle, for uncompromising bidirectional Bluetooth. Insert one, and your NOVA evolves. More than modularity: sustainability. Your amplifier grows with technology without becoming obsolete. Installed today, the NOVA will remain relevant tomorrow. By design.

Analog or Digital: make your choice

With NOVA, you choose your music’s processing domain: digital or analog. A digital source remains entirely in the digital domain, allowing the DSP to apply acoustic correction without additional conversion. An analog source can first pass through an ADC to also benefit from this correction.

For enthusiasts wishing to keep an analog source, like vinyl, completely intact, the NOVA offers the ANALOG BYPASS mode (in the setup menu): the signal remains entirely analog, without passing through the ADC or the DSP.

Thus, the NOVA offers the best of both worlds: the precision of digital processing when you want it, and the purity of analog sound when you prefer it.
