PARSEC Interconnect

Das Parsec Interconnect ist das erste Cardas-Verbindungskabel der CROSS-Serie, bei dem die Matched-Propagation-Technologie, die ursprünglich für die CLEAR-Serie entwickelt wurde, zum Einsatz kommt. Das Parsec ist der Nachfolger des legendären Quadlink. Es liefert dessen beliebte Wärme und Musikalität, bietet dabei aber eine deutlich dynamischere und transparentere Darstellung.George Cardas verwendet hier weiterhin die CROSS-Geometrie mit verdrillten Innenleitern. Diese werden durch mit Carbon imprägniertem Klebeband unterhalb des geflochtenen Schirms in stabiler Position gehalten. Dieser Schirm dient als Ground-Leiter bei symmetrischer Beschaltung.

Das richtige Kabel für Musikliebhaber, die den klassischen Cardas-Klang schätzen und einen ersten Schritt zu feiner auflösenden Kabeln machen wollen, ohne jedoch auf Wärme und einen samtigen Hochtonbereich zu verzichten.

Terminierungsoptionen:

Das Kabel ist symmetrisch mit Neutrik-XLR-Steckern erhältlich oder unsymmetrisch mit Cardas-GRMO-RCA-Steckern. Für die XLR-Version gibt es Cardas-CG-XLR-Stecker als aufpreispflichtiges Upgrade. Das Kabel und auch die RCA-Stecker stammen aus den USA und es wird von Hand in Bandon (Oregon/USA) terminiert.

I used this Parsec (1 meter RCA) to connect my Atoll PR300 to the AM200 amp. I let the cable burn-in for about twenty hours before making this review. Of course it needs more than a hundred hours to show its full value; but I can only say this right now: I've solved a problem I've been struggling with for months, Atolls are very revealing at the high end and I've already realized that silver in interconnects is not a good idea. Parsec came to solve this but much more. Completely unexpected. The reproduction is much more controlled, and this is really noticeable with the bass, there is a better balance across the spectrum and the stage has improved impressively, as well as the rhythm. In fact, I have to think and rationalize in order to write; because now when I listen, it's just Music, I forget about the equipment. I think I will also use Parsec with my Heed Quasar and with my Marantz CD. Wonderful!
